Today, we’re announcing an important milestone in our journey:
Estuary Flow is now Estuary.
This is a name change, not a product change. Your pipelines, connectors, and workflows continue to operate exactly as before. No action is required.
Our platform, team, and mission remain the same. But as our vision has expanded beyond real-time data movement into a unified data integration platform for both streaming and batch workloads, it became clear that our name needed to evolve with us.
Why the Change?
When we launched Estuary Flow, our focus was clear: making real-time data integration dramatically simpler and more reliable.
Since then, the platform has expanded. Today, Estuary supports:
- Real-time and batch data pipelines
- Unified streaming and historical data processing
- Private, hybrid, and BYOC deployments
- Enterprise-grade governance and reliability
- Kafka-compatible APIs and modern lakehouse architectures
“Flow” reflected our streaming roots, but it no longer fully reflects the breadth of what we deliver.
Estuary represents the broader platform.
In nature, an estuary is where streams converge, where real-time and historical data meet and become more powerful together. That metaphor now matches our product.
What’s Changing?
The transition from Estuary Flow to Estuary includes:
- A simplified product name: Estuary Flow → Estuary
- Updated branding and visual identity
- Refined positioning around unified data integration
What’s Not Changing?
Everything customers rely on today remains the same. There are no changes to:
- Your existing pipelines
- Your connectors and integrations
- Your pricing or contracts
- Platform functionality
- Support and customer success teams
Everything continues to operate exactly as before, just under a simplified name.
What This Means for Customers & Partners
We are rolling out the transition carefully to ensure continuity across the ecosystem.
During the transition period:
- Existing URLs will continue to work and redirect appropriately.
- Documentation and product references are being updated.
- You may temporarily see references to “Estuary (formerly Estuary Flow)” during the transition period.
- APIs, integrations, and platform behavior remain unchanged
We are handling this carefully to ensure continuity across search, documentation, and partner ecosystems.
The Bigger Picture
This rename reflects how customers are using Estuary today, not just to move streaming data, but to build unified, declarative data platforms that handle:
- Real-time analytics
- Operational data sync
- Lakehouse ingestion
- AI and ML pipelines
- Enterprise-scale data integration
The name Estuary reflects that direction.
While the name has evolved, our mission remains the same: making dependable, scalable data integration simpler for modern data teams.
Thank You
To our customers, partners, and community: thank you for building with us.
The name has evolved.
The mission remains the same.
Estuary
Unified data integration for real-time and batch systems.
