A New, Native Integration for Klaviyo

Track Marketing Campaigns and Seamlessly Pair with Your Ecommerce Data

Estuary’s new in-house Klaviyo capture connector brings real-time speed to your marketing data. This native rendition applies Estuary’s signature speed and efficiency to your Klaviyo data so you can get caught up on historical data and backfills in record time.

The new connector provides:

  • 15 data streams including Campaigns, Events, Forms, and more
  • 5x faster backfills on events streams
  • Parallel streaming on all data resources
  • Lookback window to capture resources with eventual consistency

Pair it with Estuary’s native Shopify connector to capture message clicks right alongside sales events.

In with the New

You had feedback. We listened.

The native Klaviyo capture connector replaces an older version based on a third-party open-source connector. To improve performance and reliability, we decided to build a new connector from the ground up.

Due to Klaviyo’s delayed eventual consistency, the old connector could miss events, affecting downstream analysis. The new connector uses a dual-stream method so you don’t need to compromise between real-time insights and capturing delayed events. The real-time stream captures the bulk of events as they happen while a delayed stream acts as a lookback window to fill in any missing data.

And, since Klaviyo can generate a lot of events to ingest, the old connector could fall behind, especially when backfilling historical data. The new native connector implements concurrent processing to ingest chunks of data 5x faster for the events stream. With parallel processing across all streams, users can therefore see up to 10x performance improvements.

We gave Klaviyo the in-house treatment so we could provide a connector that reflects Estuary’s ethos: faster and more reliable.

We will therefore be deprecating the old third-party Klaviyo connector and encourage all users to migrate to the native connector for a better experience. Don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions around this update.

Connector Highlights
